Redeye's got it right - however the only thing you might be confusing MP with MPO is that there might some MPOs (officers) who are assigned to the air force or navy who would not undergo CAP because they are in different elements.
Well I guess I'll be the devil's advocate here. :-X
If there's anything the Pentagon has learned recently it's that public opinion is as instrumental in winning wars as developing strong counter-insurgency tactics. We can all be critical of the media but I'm not sure that's going to help shape...

I'm not sure that denying even a scintilla of detail about this action makes much sense - it only invites ever greater scrutiny and suspicion from organizations like the Polaris Institute - not to mention media curiosity. My guess is that it's only a matter of time before the...
Just so. There is a lack of what I call "patriotic employers" in the private sector here who are going to bend over backwards to provide a reservist with gobs of time off (paid or unpaid). Dare I say that it's a cultural nuance between the US and Canada? (There is a reason why there tends to be...
I think Michael Dorosh has put his finger on an issue that also needs consideration: how can anyone with a fully developed civilian career attend 1.5 month training exercises on a regular basis? I know that some employers are tolerant and believe in the cause, but you can only go to the well so...

I play the game and I'm getting creamed - I assume some of the other high scorerers are using the above technology??? I figure some of the high scoring types must be using a technological edge - I use my key board....

For the record Kincanucks is one of the few real experts on this board with regard to recruiting so you may want to withdraw this before the mods take you apart.

Thanks Begbie - think it's time to pursue other fabulous mysteries - like finding the lost City of Atlantis or proving that men from outer space actually built the pyramids.
ps Trainspotting was a great flick ;)

Thanks Begbie
This must be something new - again - last time I checked there wasn't an additional 4 weeks for BOTC II but what do I know... :P
cheers, mdh
Hi Redeye
I was under the impression BOTC II was only one full week if you have limited availability and it could be done in the reserve CBG area - not just Gagetown - or is that under the old training system?

You might find that being an officer in the reserves affords you the kind of flexibility and fun that you didn't have in the regular force - a few former regular officers in our unit have noted that they enjoyed serving in a reserve unit precisely because they could focus on doing...
Would any of you know how this will impact the army reserve BMQ training? Right now the course is supposed to run 20 days - either on weekends or for a month in the summer - I assume they will try to lengthen it - or will they just keep SQ for the reserve world?
cheers, mdh
Adrock,
CAP runs in serials and it's currently seven weeks for reservists with limited availability (this is latest information I have altho' this seems to change with alarming frequency and reports vary from unit to unit and even participant to participant with some claiming its 10 weeks and...
I'm trying to give the show a chance but last week they had a segment where someone blows himself up with a toilet seat shaped out of C4 - it was dangerously close to being an SNL skit - porta-potti jihadi. :o
cheers, mdh
