Careers that apply to two or all three branches

If you apply for a career that is available in two or all three of Army, Navy, and Air Force, and you don't get selected for the branch you specify on your application, do you get considered for the job in one of the other branches?

For example, if I apply for Public Affairs Officer - Air Force, and don't get selected, will they also consider me for Army or Navy if those branches are taking people too? Or would I have to reapply?

Anyone have facts or experiences to share on this one?

Thanks,

Recruiting requirements for 'purple' trades (i.e., those applicable to two or three environments) are not broken down by element. If the CF needs PA officers then it recruits for the trade, selection of uniform and location of employment are separate issues dealt with after teh recruiting process.

Hi Michael,

I was hoping that's how it's done, and I'm glad to have confirmation.

Purple trades...I'll remember that.

With Thanks,
