Meh. Could just as easily be Vancouver…At least we / they can soon gawk at a new TV series about Toronto's "obnoxiously luxurious" homes.
"Luxe Listings Toronto" debuts Friday on Prime.

I wonder how well it will do in Canada. I suspect there will be a lot of "hate" watching, and a lot of angry posts about it all over social media. At least we / they can soon gawk at a new TV series about Toronto's "obnoxiously luxurious" homes.

To be fair to those groups, basically anyone having to start out fresh at the moment with no family support is basically in the same boat and likely very close to homelessness. If someone gets kicked out of the home at 18, good luck to them as with the costs of rent, crappy job market, and overall difficulty to afford anything the odds of them getting ahead is severely restricted.Somewhat related.

Well ya see...when a country has a government as committed to incompetence as strongly as ours is, anything is possible!Somewhat related.

So . . . what doesn't kill you (or us, as a nation) makes you stronger?Well ya see...when a country has a government as committed to incompetence as strongly as ours is, anything is possible!
Now read the following in a Chrystia Freeland voice in your head:
"Think of it this way - when students and immigrants arrive here without the savings or means to support themselves, they quickly have to learn how to cope with existential stress in a way they may not have known before...and that's a skill that can only benefit them as they go through life...
So you see, eliminating previous requirements for people to have X amount of savings in their bank account and a family member or family friend to act as a safety guarantor in order to jack up immigration numbers to be staggeringly high wasn't us being irresponsible & ill-prepared...
It was our way of welcoming newcomers and giving them a taste of what being a Canadian citizen will be like a few years down the road for them."
In theory my friend, in theory...So . . . what doesn't kill you (or us, as a nation) makes you stronger?
Yep lots of abuse hurled their way which is mostly unjustified.Saw something about that in the Post,

With Timmins listed as the cheapest option to buy a 1,500-square-foot home in Ontario, the price per square foot in that city ($203) is over seven times cheaper than in Toronto ($1,400).
