Hey,

I have been reading alot about this over past couple weeks but I have a few things I figured I would ask. First I have gottena few different things on the length of BMQ. I am going Reg Forces btw. I see quite a bit of people agreeing on 13 weeks, But I have seen in various videos and suck like instructors saying like 11 and such. Also where it is located people are saying the training can take place in borden which is like 3 hours away and some are like gagetown which is 3 hours by plane and st jean which is probably an hour or 2 by plane. Yet every video and blog and all information I see they have all had their training at St Jean. Lastly I am just curious on average when you get the process running how long does it take till you end up at the training location?

Thanks for all the help,

Kyle

You are new here so I will warn you there will be a s**tstorm for not using the search....although I am not sure if that is totally working with the upgrades

Oy vey.

BMQ is 13 weeks long.  Apparently, it is offered in Borden or St Jean.

Timings vary by applicant.  Many many variables.

Wow thanks I will get to reading now. Thanks for all the links I appreciate it.

Beware two links are now broken due to the site upgrade.

BMQ is 13 weeks and the vast majority of new recruits go through St. Jean but a few courses are run through Borden.  How long it will take you to get through the process depends on a lot of things.  Your medical can hold up the process if there are any problems.  Your background check could also stall things.  Then there is what trade you have chosen, how many spots are available for that trade and how high you rank on the merit list.  Hope that helps a little bit.
