My brother applied to the British Royal Marines and was turned down because of his thyroid problems. He wants to join the army reserve as an infantry solider or someone that does the war fighting ( Combat arms) are there any chance that he could join the Army reserve? Any help would be appreciated.

He will have to discuss that question with the CFRC medical staff.  He will probably have to present assessments from his specialist during the process, the Recruiters will let him know what is needed.  No-one here can offer a definite answer as to the possibility of his being recruited.

Yes he will have to bring in some medical docs to be assesed, but hey you never know when a MO will be on a forum:P

I think you'll find we don't like to do medicine like this - just bad joo joo.  He'll just have to go through the process and get the extra information from his doc - the Recruit Medical Office will decide one way or the other then.

Good Luck.
