I am a 2lt and want to quit the Reserves. I have already withdrawn from the BMQ after the second week because I wasn't able to keep up due to real-life work and school. I'm still incredibly overwhelmed and realized the army isn't for me. How do I quit? Do I meet with my WO at my armoury to start the process?

Talk to your chain of command. If you're so completely new that you don't know who that is yet, your WO will be able to guide you to the right person.

Im wondering if there would be any issues with leaving the military, given that I haven't completed any training yet. I'm finding it challenging to adapt, and it's clear that the military isn't for me. I'm just afraid that it'll be a huge disappointment for them since they put in the time and effort to get me here, and I feel really guilty about it

Don't worry about it. Lots of people enter basic training and lots of people release during basic training. The military expects a certain amount of releases in all phases of the process.

They don’t care. Thousands of people are in and out every year, and to anyone processing your admin you’re just another name and service number. You very unit is used to a certain portion of every recruit intake not sticking it out. If you’d been around a while, had some special skills or experiences that made you a notable asset, someone might try to talk you out of it, but nobody concerns themselves with a new recruit who decides it’s not for them and quits. You’ll be forgotten immediately and their care and concern will go to training those who stay.
