I did business with Taiwanese manufacturers for die cast/chrome plated components for a number of years and they were turning out some very good products…better in fact than what most of the American manufacturers were turning out. Mind you, in Taiwan and (much more so) in China, pollution controls are largely non existent. Working environments can be quite toxic.Absolutely they do. But they at least turn out good quality knock-offs. They remove the burrs and supply useful manuals.

I am not well versed in the number of ethnicities in China. I do know that the Mongols eventually became the rulers of China at some point but beyond that.....I’m of the opinion that demographics may be the deciding factor.
I was referring more to the age makeup of Chinese in China. As in “there are far more old people than is able to sustain the country”.I am not well versed in the number of ethnicities in China. I do know that the Mongols eventually became the rulers of China at some point but beyond that.....
Back to the 1930's complete with Warlord's. Except that these ones will have their hands on nukes as well .I see two very divergent narratives on China’s next 5 years.
Some, like the chart above, think that China will still reign supreme. Some, like Peter Zeihan, say that China will cease to be a unified country (his words, not mine) due to demographics.

Kinda like some places here......Working environments can be quite toxic.
