Royal Canadian Air Farce

There have been some funny comments about the guys fighting the Taliban in marijuana. If the RCAF used some of the jokes posted here, would that be offensive?

I lost interest in Air Farce when they took them off the radio and put them on TV.

+1

RCAF has become lame over the years.  The skit was indeed in very poor taste...as bilton090 and others stated, they don't do skits on things like the shooting at Dawson College, Mayerthorpe RCMP murders, DUI, etc...  It is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow for many of us serving and having lost comrades to know that while we serve to ensure that democratic rights and privileges of Canadians are maintained, that a lack of consideration such as that shown by the RCAF cast/writers happens...shame.

Air Farce...Year of the Farce 2006 last night was really bad in my opinion. It will be the last time I watch it.
the Tim Horton's piece in Kandahar was really disgusting...."we don't need to put holes in donuts here the American's do it for us with Friendly Fire."
they ended the skit with "bring our donuts home." The whole skit reedked of NDP bias."
They also did a a spoof on the PC and Mac commercials where they basically built up Dion at the expense of Harper.
These people have a big time left wing agenda.

Al least Rick Mercer makes fun of stupid people for being stupid, regardless of what party they belong to. Besides the fact that he is a huge supporter of the troops and what we are doing over there, he also has the integrity to call a spade a spade, which goes a long way in my books....

the Air Farce just try to find new ways to make fun of anything conservative for the sake of making fun of it.... I mean god forbid they recognize the PC's as human beings or something.....

Sigh.... I used to find them funny..... Then I guess I just grew up and got tired of childish skits and insults....

Air Farce humour is a mere shadow of it’s former self, they chose to go from humour to attempting to influence public opinion and are being quite biased. Rick’s humour is quite cutting, yet he makes an effort to take a equal chunk out of everyone, that allows me to respect him, not mention he constantly makes fun of himself. I am going to let CBC know that Air Farce and THH22M are now off of my viewing list and I encourage others who feel the same way to do the same. I suspect that if someone had the time to review the last few years of their shows they find enough information to file a significant complaint to the CRTC.

I lost interest when John Morgan retired from the show. In fact I hadn't seen the show in a few years and when I tuned in a couple weeks ago I was surprised to find the new cast members. They were decidedly unfunny.
Edit: I'm Mike, from Canmore...

Perhaps they should go back to their 'Roots'.   Radio.

Perhaps they should get lost. I wonder if the CBC even cares what ratings say? Can this be a wildly popular show? It used to be the talk around the water cooler ten years ago as did This Hour...but I don't hear anyone talking about it anymore.

What did it for me was their choice for Chicken Cannon Target of the year.  First, the popular PM, Stephen Harper (why, I don't know) and I think he was up there with George Bush.  I'm fairly certain that they could have at least done a "top five" choice count down, but I found it disgusting that there wasn't even the ceremonial loading of the cannon with relevant stuff.  Nope, just put up Harper/Bush and Fire.

They've lost the edge, but Jessica Holmes looks better than Luba Goy.

Like thats really a stretch......

Too bad shes just another "left wing I hate the evil CPC Monsters" Hippie.....

Maybe if she did all her Skits in a nice little Two piece bikini it would almost be a reason to watch the show...

Maybe if i just put it on mute and listened to something that was accually funny.... Russel Peters anyone?
